v3.0.0 makes free gifts update live with ajax carts, smooths out popup and theme glitches, and improves admin setup, including clearer offer-type settings, an opt-in storefront banner, and progress sister apps like Instafeed can show.

New
  • Live cart updates: on ajax-cart themes, the free gift reacts when the cart changes, so drawers and counts refresh without a full page reload in most cases. Settings toggles control smart cart updates and optional page refresh.
  • Offer progress for sister apps: Free Gift exposes progress so apps like Instafeed can show spend, BOGO, or tiered progress when the offer is active.
Improvement
  • Admin Free Gift page: clearer offer-type picker, a warning when the offer is off, faster-loading sales stats, and the storefront banner defaults to off for new setups.
  • When shoppers unlock a gift but it is not in the cart yet, copy says the gift is ready to claim, instead of “spend €0 more”.
  • Tiered rewards: claim messaging focuses on the current unlocked tier until the gift is in the cart; upgrade copy appears only for the next tier.
Fix
  • More reliable gift add/remove on the cart page across common themes, with fewer full reloads and stuck full-price gifts.
  • Stopped gift popup flashing or rebuilding on open on themes such as Halo.
  • Discarding unsaved admin changes no longer turns the storefront banner back on when it was off.

v2.0.0 adds tiered rewards so you can offer better free gifts as shoppers spend more, with storefront messaging and checkout discounts that follow the highest tier they qualify for.

  • Tiered rewards: a new trigger type alongside Spend threshold and BOGO. Set 2 or 3 cart-total tiers, each with its own minimum spend and free gift product.
  • Storefront banner encourages shoppers to reach the next tier (for example, “Spend $X more to upgrade your free gift to [product]”) and confirms when they unlock the top-tier gift.
  • When the cart total crosses a higher tier, the free gift in the cart updates automatically and checkout discounts apply to the highest tier the customer qualifies for.
