  • On Instafeed Plus you can now upload videos directly from TikTok to your uploaded files. The video appears in your uploaded files list and can be used in your feed like any other file you add there.
  • Files page: you can now filter uploaded files by type (photos, videos, or TikTok), change the sort order, and search by file name.
Improvement
  • For videos you upload from Files, the storefront can now use Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABS) when the browser supports it. Playback adapts to the shopper's connection: quicker starts in most cases, fewer stalls on poor Wi-Fi or cellular, and less bandwidth wasted than a single fixed-quality file.
  • On the Files page, search now matches captions as well as file names.
  • Integrations page now includes a recommended Partner apps section.
  • The email notification when your Instagram account disconnects (beta feature) is no longer Pro-only feature. You can turn it on on Settings → Notifications across all plans.
  • Security and reliability improvements.

Since AI went mainstream, we've been cautious about adopting it in our apps for two main reasons: a) we didn't want to use AI just for the sake of it, and b) the tech wasn't yet strong enough to deliver the quality our merchants expect. That's finally changed, and today we're launching v17.2.0 with a closed beta of AI image generation that you can use directly in your feeds or anywhere across your Shopify store.
